Domicile / Nativity Rules
Candidate must satisfy ANY ONE of the following clauses
Eligible Categories
- 1.Studied in Karnataka for at least 7 academic years (1st to 12th) AND passed either 10th or 12th from Karnataka. Repeated classes count as one year only.
- 2.Studied 11th and 12th (PUC) in Karnataka AND either parent has studied in Karnataka for at least 7 years.
- 3.Mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava AND parent was domiciled in Karnataka earlier AND candidate studied outside Karnataka AND was living outside Karnataka as on 1 May 2022. Must pass a Kannada language test (minimum 12 marks).
- 4.Mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu, or Kodava AND studied for 7 years (1st to 12th) in specified border areas of Maharashtra or Kerala. Must pass a Kannada language test (minimum 12 marks).
- 5.Child of defence personnel who worked in Karnataka for at least 1 year during the candidate's 11th–12th period. Candidate must have studied and passed 12th in Karnataka. (Min: 1 yrs)
- 6.Child of a serving defence personnel from Karnataka who declared Karnataka as hometown at the time of joining service. Candidate can have studied anywhere in India.
- 7.Kannada Language Test (Clauses C and D): Minimum 12 marks required
Accepted Proof
- ✓Domicile Certificate from Tehsildar / SDM
- ✓School / College Certificate showing study in state
- ✓Ration Card or Voter ID
- ✓Land records or property documents
