Government Medical College, Surat Complete MBBS Admission Guide

Government Medical College, Surat and the attached New Civil Hospital, Surat were established in the year 1964 with the primary objectives of imparting medical education and for extending tertiary level care for the community of South Gujarat and surrounding regions. Government Medical College is affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. The campus sprawling over an area of 130 acres, now houses the main buildings of Medical College, New Civil Hospital, Dedicated COVID-19 Hospital, Government Physiotherapy and Nursing Colleges, hostels for students and residential quarters for different categories of staff. At present the college admits 250 students for M.B.B.S. degree course and 180+ seats of Post-graduate degree - diploma courses are also offered in most of the subjects every year. GMC, Surat also provides many paramedical courses.
