Overview
The Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College & Hospital, popularly known as M.K.C.G. Medical College and Hospital, is a Government Medical College set up by the Government of Odisha under Health & Family Welfare Department and is a pioneer medical institute in Eastern India in medical teaching, training, research and patient care. It has been named after the Late Maharaja of Parlakhemundi, Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati. This being the only major medical institution in Southern Odisha, apart from imparting medical education it also serves as a referral hospital for providing multispecialty tertiary patient care in this part of the country.
