Chamrajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences, Karnataka Complete MBBS Admission Guide

Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences is a budding medical institute whose seed was sown by the Government of Karnataka to achieve the WHO goal of “Health for All” to “attain the highest possible level of health and well-being for all at all ages through a preventive and promotive health care orientation in all developmental policies, and universal access to good quality health care services without anyone having to face financial hardship as a consequence”. To cater to the health care services of the district Government of Karnataka sanctioned medical institute in the year 2013-14 and got permission for 150 MBBS seats from academic year 2016-17 onwards. Institute is growing as one of the elite medical institute in the state by providing quality medical education to meritorious students and providing the quality health services in the area of Chamarajanagar district and adjacent border districts areas of Tamilnadu and Kerala as the district is strategically placed in national highways 948, 181 & 766. At present institute is nurturing 750 medical graduates, 200 paramedical students, 85 B.Sc (Nursing) graduates and 03 B.Sc( Allied Health Sciences) graduates.The institute has been permitted for 100 B.Sc. (Nursing) and 60 B.Sc. (Allied Health Sciences) students from academic year 2020-21 onwards. Further institute has also applied for post graduate courses in 12 departments (65 seats) from academic year 2021-22. Institute having more than 200 qualified doctors, 250 well trained nursing staffs and 300 well dedicated non-teaching staff.
