Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences Rishikesh was strategically located to address regional imbalances in healthcare services, research, and training. It was established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna’s first phase and supported to be an autonomous body by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2012. The first batch of 50 MBBS and BSc Nursing students enrolled in 2012 while outpatient and inpatient services started in mid-2013.
